Lionel Messi is set to make his comeback for Inter Miami on Wednesday, September 27th, against Houston Dynamo in the US Open Cup final. Messi has been out with a hamstring injury since September 10th, but he has returned to training and is now fit to play.

Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are also expected to return to action for Inter Miami in the US Open Cup final. Busquets has been out with a knee injury, while Alba has been out with a muscle strain.

Inter Miami are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference of MLS, two points outside of the playoff places. They have three games remaining in the regular season, and they will need to win at least two of them in order to make the playoffs.

Inter Miami have signed Leonardo Campana to a contract extension through the 2027 MLS season, with an option for 2028. Campana has been a key player for Inter Miami since joining the club in 2022, scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances.
